Over the years I have had the privilege of speaking to many, many homeowners and contractors. I've heard lots of their stories, the good, the horrible, and everything you can imagine in between. Often I serve as a sounding board so that people can vent their woes to someone who understands. More often, folks are seeking answers and advice to all sorts of household headaches.
Whether you are dealing with a neighbor, a contractor, an HOA, landlord, another homeowner, or something else, let me know what is bugging you. Confronted with problematic or challenging situations? Difficult people? Moral or ethics debacle? I am happy to share my thoughts in the hopes of guiding you in a productive and constructive direction.
Sometimes the stories I hear mirror similar dilemmas others are experiencing. Just another great reason for providing this platform. Hearing how someone else handled something you may also have on your plate can hopefully be useful. I have been surrounded by folks within the home improvement service industry since 2004. Even though I have absorbed a thing or two from both homeowners, as well as service providers, I bet I still have not heard it all. I have found, however, that often both points of view are misunderstood by the other. I have always tried to be an advocate for both, especially for being able to bridge the two whenever I can.
I invite both homeowners AND contractors to write to me. If anyone knows, I do, that both sets of people have challenges and "good ones" that happen to them. It is my hope that the information I can share will help others stay on task and can provide knowledge and a peace of mind that enables positive productivity.
